    Scheduled Task

    Hi,

I have a 2007 Excel file that I'm using to check an email inbox and perform some tasks. It's going to be on a machine by itself and possibly other scheduled tasks. My original thought was that I was going to do this by using the workbook open event to trigger my code. When the task was complete, I was going to fully shutdown Excel so that it wouldn't be prone to any memory leaks.

I'm looking for ideas on how to trigger my scheduled task to only occur x number of minutes after it last completed.

    Hello yawnzzzz,

You should consider updating your user profile to include which version of Windows and Office you are using. To much partying last night has fogged my clairvoyance.
    Sincerely,

Since you mention Auto Open (which hasn't been used in several versions) you may not have OnTime() function. But that's what I would use in 2003.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately, my brain wasn't focused as well, and I meant the workbook_open event (not auto_open). For this particular file, its in Excel 2007 on Windows XP.
