Splitting Password Protection Area-RangeWise in a Single Sheet?

Splitting Password Protection Area-RangeWise in a Single Sheet?

    Dear Forum,

I need to send Data to the Sales Team and which needs to be password protected as I will be lOcking CErtain Columns for Editing and now I will be getting the same Sheet back to mae with more columns added which needs to again Password Protected so that the same sheet needs to be Locked For Editing for different columns so that no department can claim that there has been tampering of data.

Everyone would be able ot view the complete Sheet however no one should be able to change information once a NEw Department opens the file...

    How can this be achieved?

    Warm Regards

Re: Splitting Password Protection Area-RangeWise in a Single Sheet?

    Dear Forum,

Please suggest me an option of actually safely carrying out the Operation of Handing the work to the Sales Department who will be calling Prospects from the Data mentioned in the File and wille bupdating details such as the Prospects Remarks..

Now, the MIS Department will be sending this data on a daily basis and needs it back filled nad I want to develop a system where the data gets appended to the last row in the existing file so that there are no Multiple Copies for this process..

Now, to safegurard and remove any kind of malicious intrusion by either tampering or reducing the data by either of the two departments, need to devise a process which allows each department to work smoothly without any hassles..

    Ex::
Imagine that the Sheet contains 4 Columns.

    Col A Sr. No
    Col B Date
    Col C Prospects Name
    Col D Prospects Contact No

These are the Filled Details for a particular Date which is given to the Sales Team and they would be needed 2 Fill Two Additional Columns mentioned below:
Col E Categorised Remarks - Dropdown - Interested, Not Interested
    Col F Descriptive Remark...

These 2 COlumns will be filled based on the Prospect Interaction with the Sales Team ..

Now, the Sales Team should not be able to Delete any information from the First Columns and then after Filling the Last 2 Columns the MIS team should not be able to delete or make any changes...

So how can this be made possible so that both departments work in tandem...

    Warm Regarda
