    Txt File Format

    Hi all,

I am Using Microsoft Excel 2010
I am working on a report containing fields with specific lengths. I have to save the report as a text file (.txt) and I am having the following issue when saving the excel sheet in the format "Text (Tab Delimited)". I had a formula in the field for the specific length and its fine. But when saving the files as text (Tab Delimited), some fields have a tab in between.

    Please treat as urgent.

    Thanks in Advance

Maybe before saving the excel file, you can have a small macro to delete those extra columns that are getting created.
If the columns are not always in the same place, you can have the code look for them and then delete.

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply.

But the blanks column that you see in the file (Previous mail - MNS Testing.xls) are for the addresses field. Anyway, can you help me with the macros to find and delete the columns that are causing this tab in the notepad.

I tried what you told me but still the problems remain. I do not know what is causing the since as you can notice (MNS.txt), some of the fields are in the correct order but some are not.

    Awaiting a reply form you.
