Hello,
I would be grateful for some assistance.
I have a workbook with over 50 worksheets with diffent names. In each worksheet's cell A2 I'd like to place a formula which returns the worksheet name.
I'm using Office 2010.
Thanks in advance.

Try this

Put this in A2:
=MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename"))+1,255)
You can substitute A1 for any cell that does not contain an error.
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?

It will save both time and effort in the long run!

Thanks for the responses.
JieJenn - your option works fine, but how do i get it to auto update if I change the sheet name? Each sheet is for a week's info, and the sheet name is a date in that week, so next year I'll copy the file and change the dates accordingly.
davegugg - I seem to get an error "#value!". Can't seem to find a cell reference that works correctly. Obviously I'm doing something wrong?
The formula should work as long as the workbook has been saved.
Hi there,
davegugg - I've checked it and it seems to be working fine now and it auto-updates!! Not sure what I was doing wrong. Anyway, thanks for your help.
