Turn a table to a list

Is there a way to make a script to turn a data table into a list. I have a table with 6 columns of numbers and 2 columns of data that I would like to turn into a list with numbers and data.

Thanks in advance for you help.

    Hi ulhotboy1,

The term Table is used in 2007 and 2010 Excel, while in 2003 and before they called these Lists. They are the same thing.
In 2007 after changing a range of cells to a table you can right click on any cell in the table and "Convert to Range" which changes it back into normal cells of data.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I don't see the "Convert Range" option in excel. I must be looking in the wrong section.

Thanks for the link but it did not help me solve my problem.

I attached another sample worksheet to this comment. If you take a look at the worksheet named "master-list" you will see how the table should be formatted with practical application. I thought I could solve the problem with simple formulas but excel will not allow me to fill the rest of the sheet with losing my layout.

    Hi ulhotboy1,

I just don't see the logic behind getting from your first sheet to the second. It simply looks like a bunch of repeated data to me. I'd need a better example or better explaination to work on VBA code for the transformation.

Re: Turn a table to a list

I use a program to obtain phone numbers. The phone numbers are exported in the format on worksheet "export". I need the phone numbers in the "master-list" format to sort through my list based on anyone of the following criteria: phone numbers, expiration date or zip code.

I also use a program called CallFire to place my phone calls. They do not offer a sort feature at this time. I can only import phone numbers on column at a time. So if you look at the spreadsheet row 2 would be imported 2 times. The problems is that the 2nd time would show up after the first 4 columns of numbers are imported. So I can verify that someone's phone numbers is working on the first try and still dial them again later on in my list. If I knew that the 1st number worked, I could instantly skip the 2nd number.

    I hope this helps.
