Unable to set name property of Font Class

    Hello All,

I use the following code below to let the user double click to get a "Check Mark" in a specified range of cells. However, when I try to protect the spreadsheet, this macro doesn't seem to run and gives me this error "Unable to set name properly of Font Class". Is there a work around to get this to work with the Spreadsheet protected?

    Kindly help.

    Booo

    Hello Booo,

You should unlock the cells in the range "MyChecks". It is a bad practice to lock or protect the cells a user needs to input data. All worksheet cells are by default "locked". You can select the cells in the range, right click, select Format Cells... > Protection (tab) > Locked (check box). Click the Locked check box to clear it and then save your changes.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

I am not locking these cells. I am actually leting these be open but protecting the rest of the active spreadsheet. However, when I protect the spreadsheet, the code doesn't execute properly and gives me the error "Unable to set the name property of the Font Class"

Unless you deliberately unlocked the cells, they are locked.

You can only double-click in one cell, so there's no need to test for multiple cells.
