    Question Updatelinks≔1, automatically continue if errors in links

    Hello All:

    On a daily basis, we use a macro to open several spreadsheets that need to have their links updated, but always get the annoying question:

    ‘this workbook contains …. Cannot be updated’
    ‘Continue’ or ‘ Edit Links’

    I'd like it to auto select Continue so I don’t have to sit around and click the button 20 times.

    Things like:
    Application.AskToUpdateLinks = False
    Open… updatelinks≔1 ‘(or 3)
    Application.AskToUpdateLinks = True
    Do nothing.

    My friend posted this question and was told to ‘read Microsoft help’… I don’t need to tell you how useless this is. Thanks moderator ‘shg’, you made the wall of shame.
    Please respond with either the code or a link to the solution.

    Thanks!

    Might I suggest that you alter your tone if you wish people to assist you? Starting out with an aggressive/sarcastic post will not make people more likely to answer you.

    Now, here is the problem. From the forum, it looks like someone has replied with the solution, when it is instead nothing of any value.

    Please respond with either the code or a link to the solution.

    thanks all!

    Yes, that must be the reason for the lack of answers.

    You do not seem to appreciate that I am trying to help you. Had you changed your tone, you would have had an answer by now. As it is, you are skating on thin ice.

    Nevermind.

    I got the answer from another forum.

    Application.DisplayAlerts = False
    code
    Application.DisplayAlerts = True

    Moderators. The above is a helpful posting. Please learn from it.

    I actually told her where to look and what to look for, but she couldn't be bothered.
