unprotect / re-protect only range A2:B40

They do not work well.
The first macro does not remove the protection only the range A2:B40 but to the whole sheet
The second macro will not re-protect the range A2:B40.

Read your code carefully - noting what you are selecting and what you are actually protecting/unprotecting. They're not the same thing...
