    Gantt Chart

I need to automatically create a ghant chart from dates entered in specific cells and they need to be a certain Color.
The Ghant Chart is broken down by Month.
    Planned Start Date
    Actual Start Date
    Execution Start Date
    Execution End Date
    Planned End Date
    Actual End Date

    1) The time between Planned Start Date and Actual Start Date needs to be Yellow if Planned is different then the actual start date.
    2) The time between Actual Start Date and Execution Start Date needs to be Blue.
    3) The time between Execution Start Date and Execution End Date needs to be Blue with a Strike through.
    4) The time between Execution End Date and Planned End Date needs to be Blue
    5) The time between Planned End Date and Actual End Date needs to be Yellow.

    Here is an example
    Planned Start Date - 5/10/11
    Actual Start Date - 5/15/11
    Execution Start Date - 7/7/11
    Execution End Date - 9/15/11
    Planned End Date - 10/5/11
    Actual End Date - 11/1/11

Planned Start Date Actual Start Date Execution Start Date Execution End Date Planned End Date Actual End Date Jan 2011 Feb 2011 Mar 2011 April 2011 May 2011 June 2011 July 2011 Aug 2011 Sept 2011 Oct 2011 Nov 2011 Dec 2011
    5/10/11 5/15/11 7/7/11 9/15/11 10/5/11 11/1/11

    Thanks for the help.

    Don

    Re: Gantt Chart

These are very helpful and I already have something very similar to these created using conditional formatiing. The problem I'm having is adding a 3rd set of dates. All the examples are using just a planned and actual set of dates. I've been asked to also include the execution dates so now I have 3 sets of dates and I cant handle that many using conditional formatting.

    Re: Gantt Chart

I thought that the Execution dates are the same as the Actual start ones!

    Re: Gantt Chart

Not in this case. Think of it as phases of a Project Lifecycle. We want to track the Actual and planned start and end dates but we also want to track the Start and End Dates of Execution which in essence is Testing or QA within the overall lifecycle.
