excel dynamic tooltip

hi,
i would like to know if there is an option to have in excel dynamic tooltip,
i mean that for example, if i stand on specific cell i would like to show specific desciption which is dynamic.. not hard coded text.. somethig like result of vlookup function.

so in one case it will display a , and other b.

it might be code or any other idea. thanks in advance.

Hello,
You can manipulate comments with a UDF written in VBA, but there is no built-in function for tooltips.

Here is some sample code that looks up data in a table and also returns any associated comments

Dear Forum,

please do not consider this as hijacking the thread at all, I want to use this Comment Vlookup but not able to understand how to use this as this in VBA which is slightly complex..so please can someone guide me on how to use this..

I have copied the code and pasted it in a Module and then what do I do? I do get it in as a defined Function appears..
It will take me some time so please guide me on the above..
