How to automatically change Leave status to shortform in a drop down list?

Hi, can anybody help me with this? I am trying to have drop down list from the calendar that appears of Legend such as "Full Day, AM, PM, Block out dates for company activities and etc" But when I click on it, it will change to the status.

For example, in the drop down I click Holland, but it will appear as HR in those tiny boxes. When it appear as HR, it will follow the colour that is in the legend (I already did the conditional formatting)

I've tried to do it but when I change the VBA codes it does not work. I have never learnt or use VBA codes to do any excel before. Can someone assist me on this? I've attached my excel working sheet here.

I hope someone could assist me on this soon. If possible by next week Wednesday.
