Microsoft DTP Control will not function on opening of workbook in Excel 2010

I have installed the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6) into Excel 2010 as Microsoft instructs. When I go into Design mode and place my Control on the form where it needs to be, everything works great and looks great. But when I save it as a template and reopen it, the box is all distorted and unusable. I have to go into the Design mode, click on the controls and then exit design mode for them to function again. Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution?

    Thanks in advance your assistance!

Are you using 32bit or 64bit version of Excel 2010. I have read it will not work with 64bit version. There are a few Calendars that have been written from scratch that you could use. You will have to google it as I don't have a link handy.
    Hope this helps.
