Question Group based on cell content or color

Good morning all. I've searched for a little bit now, but can't find exactly what I'm looking to do. I also posted this question on another board, but received no help.

I am needing macro to Group Rows based on either cell content or cell/row color. A lot of the worksheets I work on usually have 5K+ rows and 100+ columns.

I have done Subtotals, but I don't think Subtotaling will work every time based on some of the data I work with. So, I am using a Pivot to format the data...but now need to Group the data to make it easier for the other users.

I need to Group by the Row Colors without the word Count. Make sense???

I have attached an example file.

    Thanks for your time.

hi Shaner73, please check attachment, run code "test" (option to do it from Excel 2003 perspective). I hope I understood you right that Group by the Row Colors means just have blocks of the same coloured rows.

watersev...Thank you for replying. But, I did not make myself clear enough I guess.

By "Grouping" I need it to look like Subtotals...where the end user can just look to see the Count Total, click the + to open the row(s).

I have edited and attached my example.

correct me if I'm wrong, you need just to add subtotal feature to the strcuture as it is. The line with count will become TOTAL and differentiates subtotal blocks.
