    Eclectic golf spreadsheet

This is my first post, so not sure if the question has been ask before so here go's .

I have master sheet with the player’s names which will hold the best score for each of the 18 holes. For each new round of the competition an additional sheet is produced and the scores are manually entered for that particular round. What I am trying achieve is that, if the latest new round score for a particular hole is lower than the one held in the master; it will replace the existing master score with this new lower score. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Ypma and welcome to the forum,

I built one of these a few years ago. I've updated it to 2007 and now 2010 Excel. Find attached one that I did a while back. You will need to read some code to see what is happening, but we still use his one for our Exlectic tournament.

+1 for Marvin's spreadsheet. I used it as the basis for our group's tour to Spain. Never having done vba before his code was highly instructive and he was also able to answer a couple of my queries whilst I battled with the code to get it to do what I wanted.

    Marvin,
I am trying to create an eclectic scoresheet for my golf group to use. I tried to download your form, but it does not have full functionality for Excel 2013. It won't allow me to add scores. Also, I have no idea how to convert the formula to work with the slopes for our golf courses. I am a novice with Excel. Our slopes are Classic = 131 and Cove = 123.

    Re: Eclectic golf spreadsheet

    Hi MarvinP:
Newbie here. Downloaded your excel eclectic golf spreadsheet and am having a bit of a problem. Your post has a week_8.xls that is in Excel 97 format. I have Excel 2010 and your post seemed to indicate you also have a 2010 version, but I cannot find it. Downloaded the 97 format and loaded in Compatibility Mode. Did not progress too far as after adding a new member and clicking on "Click to Enter Score", I get a compile error message in the Sub EnterScores Procedure apparently on date. Would appreciate any assistance you might offer (also the 2010 version) to resolve the issue. Any documentation that is associated with the spreadsheet would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

    Re: Eclectic golf spreadsheet

Hi Stas' and welcome to the forum,

Find attached the latest version of our Eclectic Golf Score sheet. See if it gives errors. It seems each year the new tournament director wants some new features. This last one allows people to compete from different tees. So I could do both Blue and White tees and win both. Let's see if I can attach the file, so you can download and see it, as the site has been bad lately.

    2016 Eclectic Current.xlsm

It looks like attaching the file worked.

Hope this works for you. If not Private Message me with problems or concerns.

    Hi Marvin:

Many thanks for the latest version. First look shows a distinct difference from the "week_8.xls". Will put this thing to work as soon as possible. Again many thanks.

Hi MarvinP, I have been manually inputting scores on a spreadsheet for three years. Not being overly proficient with eclectic spreadsheets, it takes me hours. But I stumbled upon your post and all I can say is thank you very much.

    dave,
i, too, stumbled upon this and i'm trying to make it work for my league. out of curiosity... where did you find the "click to enter score" in the "rounds" tab? it's not showing for me and i wonder if that's because i'm using the sheet on a mac computer.

    thanks.
