    Automatic multiply

I am creating a spread sheet to track my jobs. I am an industrial sandblaster. I want to be able to in one cell labeled Sand Cost put the number of bags of sand used on a project and have that automatically times it by 10.5. Thanks for your time in advance

Re: Help please - automatic multiply

This can be done but I'm not sure you want to go that way which means creating a macro.
I would rather add a new column labeled "Number of bags used" and put a formula in your "Sand Cost" column. Assuming Sand Cost is column"E" and Number of bags is in column "D", the formula in E3 would be =D3*10.5
You always can hide this new column if you don't want it to appear in your print out.
    Hope this help
