Need help with the follow

AEGON 21964 3001226

AEGON AEGON 3001226

ALL ALL 561240

Column A is the major and column B is the account. Column C is the restricted rule.

I need to create a function/lookup to make sure if column A and B are equal it will ensure that the restricted rule is updated for all the accounts (numbers) in column B. For example AEGON AEGON 561240 needs to be updated for accounts 21944, 21956, 21958, 21964, 21979 - 561240.

Hopefully that is clear...

1. in your data there are two rows with "AEGON AEGON" in columns A & B.
2. it's some how confusing me. can you show the data and the desired result so we can help?

That is the problem I am having. The Major Column A will have a Major of its self. It is setup as a hierarchy in our system.

So AEGON is at the top of the hierarchy and 21944, 21956, 21958, 21964, and 21979 is under it. So the fund Major of account 21944 is AEGON. Since AEGON is at the top of the hierarchy, its fund major is AEGON.
