Unhappy Create a searchable data sheet

    Hello,

I have a data sheet right now that containing 20+ different types of fittings and all the data associated with them.

I'd like to create a search function that would allow a user to search said fitting and the results would yield an average of all the entered data associated with that fitting.

Example. I search part number 161196 which shows up several times in the list of fittings. The search should be able to find all instances with the part number and take a mean value of each data category and display the results.

Any help would be great, I can provide screen shots if necessary. Thanks!

could you attach a sample sheet?

also, do you want this to be a user form, or in a cell on the sheet?

Have you had a look at autofilter and the subtotal function?
