Cell Color Change after time passes from a certain date

    Hi!

So, i would like to have my spreadsheet to change colors after a certain time has elasped from a date in another cell.

This is to make it easier to follow up with my customers after certain days.

    Here is what i have:

    Quoted Date Follow up date
    Jan 23 / 2012(A2) (B2)
    Feb 21 / 2012(A3) (B3)
    March 02 / 2012(A4) (B4)

Could someone please help me with the Conditional Formating formula to make my cell rows A2-F2.. etc to change colors depending on todays date..

    7 Days - Turn Green
    14 Days - Turn Yellow
    30 Days - Turn Red

    Please advise

    Thanks!

    Hello Ruggyz,

I am not quite clear as to exactly what you want. As a starter, see attached WorkBook.

Do you want the colors to appear if Colomn B is empty or vice versa?

Re: Cell Color Change after time passes from a certain date

    Hi Winon!

    So say i Have these in (a2) (a3) (a4)

    Jan 17 / 2012
    March 1 / 2012
    March 8 / 2012

    I would like:
A2-F2 to be red because it is 30+ Days from **Todays Date** <March 16>
A3-F3 to be yellow because it is 14+ Days from **Todays Date** <March 16>
A3-F3 to be green because it is 7+ Days from **Todays Date** <March 16>

Does that make sense? - Im new to this Conditional stuff lol

    Thanks!

Be a bit more specific by telling me which "all cells". If you want to apply it From Column A to Column F further down, just highlight row A50 to J50 and then drag it down as far as you want to go. That's it!

Hi all, following on from this thread - I am having a similar issue. Winon's workbook is really helpful, but am struggling to alter the time elapsed; i need red after 1 year, yellow after 6 months. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
