Question Comparing multiple columns using MATCH

hi ... I have problems making the formula from cell D1 ( sheet S1 ) to make it work

    - the formula checks for strings like C1&B1&A1 from sheet S1 in a array from S2 on strings like A1&B1&C1
    - any idea why this doesn't work ?

I don't really see the issue. So you have A1 B1 and C1 on S1 and you want to compare them with A1 B2 and C2 on S2. I don't understand why you said A1 A2 and A3 as you don't have any information in them?

Also why are you searching for ~ in the cells are you checking if they are empty?
If someone helped give them rep using the star button.

If you have received a satisfactory solution please mark the thread solved. If not Fotis will come for you at night :P

Re: Comparing multiple columns using MATCH

sorry for the typo I was in a hurry here is the corrected one:

    - the formula checks for strings like C1&B1&A1 from sheet S1 in a array from S2 on strings like A1&B1&C1

    - the attached file is just for example purpose, I use data like the one bellow. ~ being a special character in excel you have the escape it in find/match functions to make it work.
    A1 B1 C1
    FRANÇA fr6~|s6 POR

    thank you!
