Excel, Counting & deleting dupliate rows ? possible ?

Hi, I'm currently working at a shop where they want to make some work lighter by removing the duplicate bar codes out of the system but keeping the amount of them.
Since Words don't say as much as images I added the begin stage & the desired result state. This example is on a small scale but it would need to be for large excel sheets.

    Begin State.JPG Result state.JPG

I hope this helps, Also I would like to add that i'm not that amazing with excel, so if there even is a solution to this. Please help out on how to make it work.
Thanks alot in advance ! This would be lots less work if it worked.

    Greetings Tim

In the 'Data' menu there's a 'Delete duplicates' function - just run that and tell it which column your bar-codes are in, and that should be you sorted.

This function deletes my duplicates alright but, I don't know how many of them I had after running it. You you look at my second image "Result State.JPG" in my first post you see that I still require to know the count of how many I had in the past.
thanks for the comment though. But its not really a solve for me.

Well, both the Function in the Data menu & the countif function work amazing by themselves.
They don't do the job though when trying to combine them together to get my result.
Cause if I first run the countif function it will ofc count everything in my Data list that occurs more then 1 time, but when I remove the duplicates it will also change the formule. That means that my count values all go to 1. And I guess thats normal since I removed all the extra's.

If you put the CountIf formula in then copy the results and use Paste Special|Values to overwrite the formula with the results and then use the delete duplicates you should be there.
