    arnie1950,

If you did not find anything in the above list in my reply #38, then there is a lot of good information on the web if you search for Excel vba variables.
    Have a great day,

I think that "Writing Excel Macros" by Steven Roman and published by O'Reilly has been cited above, but it's the book that I learned from and still refer to when concepts get dicey.

    anjan.ananth,

On reply #38, there are two links for:

    User Form Creation

When To Use a UserForm & What to Use a UserForm For

Or, you could search the web for Excel UserForm.

Re: New to Excel Programming and looking for learning materials

    Hey!

I'v been using Excel for quite some time now however I am new to programming.

If I want to learn VBA, is it necessary for me to attend some training or can it be learned online using some study material and Youtube videos?

I learnt most of Excel from the internet only.
    Cheers!

    msexcelathome,

Any type of training is good.

    Hi msexcelathome,

I taught myself from some of the reading materials mentioned above - but I already knew and had taught BASIC!

Re: New to Excel Programming and looking for learning materials

    Alright!!

I just got a new book - VBA Programming for Dummies.

However it states it is for Excel Versions 2000 - 2003, while I am using Excel 2007 and above.

I just wanted to understand if there are huge differences in VBA in the new Versions of Excel or it wont make much of a difference.

Re: New to Excel Programming and looking for learning materials

It won't matter much as far as the VBA is concerned - there are some features which give you some advantage as far as formulas go.
