    Disabling "save as" function.

    First post. Hello everyone.

After researching several web sites and blogs, after trying four VBA macros, after downloading another program (UI...something- it is on my laptop at the office) and trying two different codes with this program, I have come to the conclusion that anyone to whom I send the spread sheet to will still be able to perform a save as, as their computer security software will disable the macro. Correct?

BTW, as an architect, admittedly I am not the most software code savvy, so please have a little grace and mercy....

Anyone can go into windows explorer and copy and or rename the file anyway, so i don't see the benefit in preventing save as. Unless I am missing something.

The benefit I desire is that people can read, write and utilize the formulas, print and save the document, but not copy the document for others to use. My point agrees with you, in that this is not possible with excel.

    but I could be wrong...
