Why only the link is made instead of actually inserting the picture?

Hi All

Below given is the macro I use to insert pictures and it works fine (Thanks to Andy Pope for providing it). The one issue now I find with this is, at times it only links the picture to sheet instead of actually placing it there. So when the file is send to another user the link may not work and no picture will be displayed. Can somebody tell me why it happens and how to avoid linking and actually place the picture?

Pictures can be in different folders. And my observation is, when the pictures get inserted from network drives (with very less extra space) this often happens. If the picture resides in the local drive, mostly no issue. Still I failed to find an exact situation on when this happens.

Thank you Mallycat. So far that is my guess also. I wanted to suppress that unwanted (At least for me!) feature in the new versions of excel.
