problem killing continuous loop function

i require to run a loop continuously in background till i manually terminate it.to terminate it manually, i use a button which simply kills the loop function.but as soon as i evoke a loop function,the cursor freezes in to hourglass and i can't press terminate button or do anything else and i have to kill it using task manager end function.i have tried sleep function,but it doesn't help.

Try putting "Do Events" in the loop.
