i'm not sure if this is possible or how hard it would be to do but i'm looking to do the following:
1) write a sentence in column D in next row (say row 4)
2) from a pull down menu (already created) in column G color columns A-I and apply boarder to columns A-I as well
3) apply formula from column A to new row (row 4),
4) sort by column G in the order of the words "not started", "in progress", "waiting on others", "on hold", and "cpml"

I'm basically trying to keep row 3 priority as #1 and then each row after that in sequental order so when i sort the priority stays 1,2,3 ect.. but as the status changes from not started (priority #1) to in progess (priority #2) ect... they stay in that order. I would like to take it one step farther and not only keep that priority level but base it on the date in column I as well so the most current date is top priority in category
