Hi everyone,

I have searched the forum but have found no answer to what I am trying to do.

This is the situation:
I have an excel (1) on a network drive which uses a makro to collect data from other excel files (2) on that same network drive. Each user has their own excel (1), but the other excels (2) include confidential information that the users should not be able to see. So excel (1) pulls the information relevant to the single user from the other excels (2).

How can I hide/protect/make invisible the other excel files (2) while the makro from file (1) is still able to pull the data from it?

I have tried hiding excel files (2), then the makro doesn't work anymore. Maybe there's a way to write the "also include hidden foldes and files" into the makro?

I have also tried revoking the permission on the folders containing the other excel files (2), but then the makro won't work, either.

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?

Best regards and thanks in advance!
Tina
