Open Multiple Files to Update - Close & Save with One click

Hey Guys,

I've got say 20-50+ Files that i would like to be able to open all at once, have them update their figures and then for them to save and close.

Currently doing this manually once a week, but would much prefer an automatic way of doing so that I don't have to spend an hour waiting for it all to load!

(To be able to time it to run at 4am etc would be the most perfect solution!)

Any information would be great thanks !

Hello awaken88 ,

You will need to provide more information if you want a workable solution. Post an example workbook that will be updated along with the data source to used for the update.

From there I just keep adding directories followed by the other code..

It's prob not the easiest way of doing it but its working for now!

I've come into a little problem where it asks me to Update links or not,

I want it to automatically update the links in the files, which I can change in excel not to ask me for..

But theres about 100 files which i'd need to do that!

I've seen some code on the net which sets automatic update on links, but it just returns and error for me

xl.Application.Workbooks.Open"\\Computer\Department\Tracker\Company\Store Tracker.xlsx" , UpdateLinks:=3

Any ideas?
