Macro to Split Workbook into separate Files

    Hi Guys,

I realize that people have posted similar questions but none of the answers work for me. I do not know anything about VBA and I need to complete this task as soon as possible. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a file with a lot of information and names of "Contacts" in column AH. I need a macro which will automatically separate the information for the different contacts into new workbooks. There are around 20 contacts in total. Basically, in the new workbooks I want to have the filtered information for each contact. However, each contact should not be able to view another contacts information. Apart from this, I need another tab in the original workbook to be transferred into each of the new workbooks. This tab is the same for all so it should not be too much of a problem.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Any help would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks,
    hkn4

    Hi,

Does that mean you want to have the Contacts information in a different workbook (containing one worksheet for each contact)?
Kindly share the dummy data for atleast two contacts.

Thank you for your reply. I do not just want one new workbook with different sheets. I want different workbooks for each contact with a single worksheet.

I can not share the data for confidentiality reasons. However, there are 37 columns. One of these columns is the contact name. I want to filter by contact name basically.

You do not need to post your exact workbook. Just post a file with dummy data and with the same layout as the original file.
