    wrong number of arguments invalid or property assignment error

    the error 'wrong number of arguments invalid or property assignment' comes up when i run the code:

    that error does not present when I run the code.

    The debug print command shows an "a", as can be expected.

    Please post a workbook that presents the error you are experiencing.

    hey i have tried it on another excel workbook and it works for me too, i did some more research and apparently it's because there is a variable or macro that i had created that has the name 'chr' but i cant find it! thanks anyway but i think i will continue on my own

    well, lesson learned: don't use reserved names for variables !!!

    Also, get used to Option Explicit to help ease the headaches.
