an event firse and I can not find it?

I took over a Excel project that used a data provider. I'm not using that anymore and instead I'm just importing the data via macros. All has gone well but rows 2-77 are some how linked? If I change a formula in row 2 column 10 then all rows from 2 - 77 have that same formula. All rows after are fine. No matter what row I change in the 2-77 range it auto populates the others in that range.

So I figured first it must be a macro, well its not. At least I can't find it. Then I figured it was the data provider so I removed all of that that with no luck. I did find the filter->advanced to have that exact range in it but changing that did help either. It only seem to be the formulas that do this, not values.

What else could be doing this?

Could there be conditional formatting that's doing it? if you post your workbook it would be easier to troubleshoot.

Then don't post all of it... Just a sample.

When you are making a post, click go advanced and scroll down and click on manage attachments or click on the clip among the post buttons..

Make a copy of it and then delete some of the stuff in it maybe. Leave only what's relevant to the problem you are having.

I finally found the hidden conditional menu and I checked each sheet from the drop down. No conditions.

Well the relevant issue is on the page that has 12 meg worht, but I may be able to do this on another page because its doing the same thing a believe.

Re: an event firse and I can not find it?

ok this should show the issue.

once open go to sheet "ReplacementPhrases" then to column C and row 3 for example. change =SUBSTITUTE(A3,"courting","dating",1)
    to
    =1

    Then watch all 1-75 change.

I dont think you need the personals file but let me know if you do and I can try to upload it.

Excel Options > Proofing > Autocorrect Options, AutoFormat tab, untick Fill formula in tables

Or convert the table to a range.

Yeah that did stop it. Where does a person set this up? Like how did it know to only to 1-75 and not all rows? --- Oh re-size table never mind.

Thx to all for this, big help. Big thx to shg.
