Merging multiple workbooks (with multiple worksheets) in to one master sheet

    Hi All,

I was wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for a macro to help me combine several workbooks (each with 4 worksheets) into one Master sheet.

    Here's a little background:
    - Each workbook is operated by a different member of staff
    - The different tabs represent the different statuses of various bookings (Closed, Confirmed, Pending and Cancelled). The data contained on all of this is in the same format
    - I would like to import all of the data to a common worksheet.
    - The master will need to be updated daily, as staff will be working on thier personal workbooks and making changes a few times a day.

I have seen a few codes, but I am just beggining to learn about macros so all explanations are appreciated

I hope you will be able to help!

    Thanks,
    Alex

Please attach a sample file which should be in the same format as the original file. Remove all sensitive data.

Also, do you want the macro to open the files from a specific folder, copy the contents to the master and close them? If yes, are these workbooks saved in 1 specific folder / drive or multiple?

    Hi Arlette,

    Thanks for your reply.

Please see below the files: the individual file will have at least 5 copies (maybe more in future).

I would like the macro to open the files and copy the contents, I am not really fussed if the documents get opened or not. Each folder will be saved in the same drive & folder, but the sub folder will differ from person to person.

I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Thanks
    Alex

So if i understand correctly, there will be the drive and then the main folder. Inside this will be multiple folders, 1 for each person. Now, inside this individual folder, how many files will there be? Just 1?

    Hi Arlette,

Sorry for my delay in replying (I was notified of receiving a reply).

Yes. Inside each folder there will only be one file.

Looking forward to hearing back from you :-)
