    Merge data with inventory serial number

    Hi all,

    I've bought a EAN scanner and connected it to Excel2003. The scanner inserts the new data in a new line everytime no matter if its duplicates.
    For example;

    LAN cable 5 meter
    LAN cable 5 meter
    LAN cable 5 meter
    LAN cable 5 meter
    LAN cable 5 meter
    LAN cable 1 meter
    LAN cable 1 meter
    Fiber Cable 3 meter
    Fiber Cable 3 meter
    Fiber Cable 3 meter

    Now, i would like Excel to automatically merge all LAN cable 5 meter into one field with a total number of for example LAN cable 5 meter.

    I sincerely hope anyone gets what i'm talking about and can help me out.

    Kind regards/
    Ted

    Try this assuming that the items name will be in column A and the count will be placed in column B

    Do you realy need VBa for this?

    Try this formula approach, no need to call macros the sheet will automatically update as data is added.
    Best to use native formula whenever you can.

    1/. Create a Dynamic Named Range "Raw_Data"
    Refers to:=
