common controls 6.0

Hi,

How do I properly install the common controls 6.0? I downloaded the installer, but after i installed it, i can't find the controls in Excel VBA...

Any help?

Then it means that it is not registered properly

Have you closed your excel application and re-opened it after installing the common control?

Yes, I also restarted my laptop..

Check whether you downloaded the right cab file which suits your Ms-Office Version

What do you mean with CAB file?

Check you've installed it properly -

1. Copy the .ocx file to C:\Windows\System32
2. Open CMD with elevated privileges (right click the cmd.exe icon -> "Run As Administrator"
3. Use RegSvr32 to install the file

(example of installing MSCAL.OCX)

You should get a message saying that the file was registered successfully.

4. Restart your office applications and it should appear in your references
