Angry Formula needed to look at muliple ifs

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and have quite a basic knowledge of excel so please help with solutions that are easy to follow!

I have a spreedsheet with data in several colums and I need to check if data in these colums match each other,

now each client has a unique code and this code is in colum Q,

I only want to check the data if the name in the row im looking at i.e Q2 matchs another i.e any other cell from Q, if it does i need it to look at the data in colum M and see if the data in M2 matches any of the other matching cells, but doesnt have to be all the data in all the ceels that match the name.
and when i say matching excluding zero value.

please can someone give me a formula to to this?

to make it clear what I need if I was writing this in english it would read as follows:

If value in Q3 = any other cell in colum Q then look at the value in M3 and provided this is not zero see if it matches any of the cell in M that you found where Q3 = there data, if they match "Yes" if not "NO"

    hope you can help me?

    Thanks

    Tony

This would be easier to work with if you could post a sample file. That would tell us so much more than words. ...

    Hi,

Ok I will try and show you what I mean: Sorry if this is amature, but not used this site before.

    Attachment 161108

So this is My Excell Spreedsheet and we have 17 lots of data (there will be a lot more than 17!)
So the formula is in "Cell N3" for this example,
So In "Q" I have the Clients Data,
and In "M" I have the amounts,

I want a yes If Q matches and M Matches ok?

Hi I can't just post It i dont know how,

I'v done a screen shot and insreted as a picture,

I would have thought this would be a relativly easy thing for the super brains on this site to sort out for me as its only a matter of looking at cell values and seeing if its matching?

I don't understand why its coursing you so much problems?

The attachment link above does not work.

Click "Go Advanced" below the Quick Reply box, then click the paper clip icon to attach a file.

a relativly easy thing for the super brains
How easy something is will heavily depend on how well the problem is described. Your description in the original post is not exactly crystal clear. Therefore, I asked for a file, so you can point out examples and expected results based on hard facts instead of hazy descriptions.
