Sort data and date together

Hi Gurus,

I've a sample data as per attached, filename: SAMPLE02.xls.

I've been having some issues to perform sorting based on column A (server name) first then column B (start time).

The result is not as expected due to the weird date format in column B.

Is there a better way to do this sorting?

Any help would be appreciated.

Please be more specific on what issue you are trying to solve. I did the sorting and it looks fine to me.

Thanks for your response.

What I'm trying to do are the following:
1) Sort column A (server name) first to get all the same server name group together.
2) Sort column B (start time) based on the earlier date and time sorted first and the latest last.

I've tried again and had attached the updated sample, filename: SAMPLE02_2.xls

I've also highlighted in red for some of those dates not being sorted.

Could you help to take a look?

Hello, I have done in the following way:
Column B: Data menu -> select text in the column fixed width forward, then forward again and choose destination = $ I $ 2. end.
Then I selected the whole range A1: N158, menu Data -> Sort settler level 1 "K"
Level 2 column "L" level 3 servers.
If you want to change the server first then the next day and now you go ahead.

1 column K
2 column A
