Why don't you upload your workbook and a copy of the code you are wanting to use?

ok so incase you are wondering. What i need is very simple.
If cells D4:D28 is less than 60, a pop message box magicly apears and says " You have Certs Within Expiration Range"
I need this to happen everytime the spreadsheet is opened

If cells D4:D28 is less than 60
All the cells must be less then 60, or only one of them?

have a look around the forum and take note about the thread titles. How many do you see that resemble yours? Why do you think that is? Your thread title should be a meaningful description of your issue. I can understand that you are frustrated, but you will get more help if you state what the problem is, so people can decide if they even want to read your question.

Place the following code in your worksheet module.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    I added:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
You can change the if statement to:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
    if needed.

Also, this code belongs in a worksheet module and not a standard module.
In the VB Editor, open the folder which says: Microsoft Excel Objects.
Then for the worksheet you want this code, click on the worksheet, and place the code in the worksheet module.

If you have problems doing this, I'll upload a workbook with the code already installed.

Re: oh my god please help me!!

When i open the spreadsheet it doesn't pop up. however if i go to sheet 2 (which is blank, I haven't deleted it yet) and then back to sheet 1, it will pop up? Is that supposed to happen or am i screwing up further? If needed i would upload the spreadsheet but i dont know how. Sorry for the stupidity.

Re: oh my god please help me!!

    You're right.

    One solution is to add:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
In the Workbook module. Then it will work both ways.

Please heed the requests to change your thread title and, where appropriate, use Code Tags

    Works fine for me.

To save some time ... The reason the macros are not listed is because they are workbook and worksheet modules and marked as private.

    Have you enabled macros?

You could use COUNTIFS rather than loop through the cell range to determine if any values are less than 60.

@sgtduplechain: I should also make the point that, whilst I understand your frustration, your language in the OP is not really appropriate. Admittedly, I've heard worse ... but it is not necessary and should be avoided. There is a rule about it, surprise, surprise.

@sgtduplechain: when you have changed your thread title, I will explain the difference between the various worksheet events, and where they should exist.

Re: oh my god please help me!!

    Dear sgtduplechain,

I (maybe others) don't take kindly to using God's name in vain. I feel it is very inappropriate.

Our goal here is to help all users with their questions, but we do have rules. Please abide by those rules as we expect all to do.

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

Your post does not comply with Rule 6 of our Forum RULES. Common courtesy is the order of the day. Avoid coarse language, provide feedback to suggested solutions, and take the time to thank those who took their time to help you.
    HTH

Thank you steven for all of your outstanding help. You are truely great at what you do. To all of the other people who spent this entire thread crying about how my language has made there little heart ache. I formally appologize for abreviating a common swear phrase. I am so very sorry for typing the word "freaking" and "pissed" I didn't mean to insult anyone with my satanic vulgar language. Now the message i recieved said i used god's name in vien. I read it twice and didn't see that but hey please forgive me for my harsh words. I never ment to hurt your hearts so much. Are we ok now my sweet hearts.. kisses and hugs and dont get bit by the bed bugs...God Bless

@Jeff: my reference to frustration was with the issues encountered with the code. Is that what you meant?

@sgtduplechain: glad you got your solution and you, at least, are happy. My heart's not broken but thank you for cleaning up the OP.

I didn't notice the infraction earlier on so I guess you've earned that today. Welcome to the forum!

Seems you have the makings of a fan club. Enjoy.
