VBA Macro to highlight a Pattern within a row based dataset is not working...Simple Fix?

Hi I have obtained and slightly modified the following Macro.
The idea behind it is that it looks at the patterns highlighted in cells C1,C2,C3,C4, and then looks for said patterns in the sheet and highlights with a sickly purple background.
However....
This macro only works down columns, and not along rows of which I require it to.

Here is the code alterations are encouraged.

Changing the "A" to say for example 12, for row 12 does not work.
