Vba Script That Calculates The Payback Period - Excel

Hi, I am working on a Finance Mini Case and I am having trouble answering the question below. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks so much!

Most spreadsheets do not have a built in formula to calculate the payback period. Write a VBA script that calculates the payback period for a project.

I am very sorry to the forum MODS that it seems I have posted the same reply twice and I can't seem to delete one

So I will edit this reply and provide a TADXL functions reference for the OP

The attached file contains syntax requirements and description of the financial functions found in TADXL Excel add-in for finance

TADXL is a controlled product that adheres to US export control laws and thus is not available for sale or distribution in countries where piracy is rampant especially in Muslim countries

Firstly accept my apologies for the late reply, this forum doesn't send email notifications when a new reply has been posted or not lest I know if I have to opt-in for such notifications. Thus it's only when I drop by the forum to see if any new questions have been posted that I can contribute to

As for tadPP function, you are correct in saying that it is not a standard Excel function. Excel's financial functions date back to the days of Lotus 1-2-3 (circa 1990) and Microsoft's take over of the office productivity tools with its release of Windows 3.0 by using the advantage that they control the OS market

Thus most or almost all of the financial functions that exist in Excel are those that were found in other spreadsheet programs that were once popular

tadPP function is part of TADXL Excel add-in for finance that provides 41 functions as of current; these functions fall into two broad categories as listed below
    1. Investment Analysis
      1. IRR
      2. MIRR
      3. NPV
      4. NFV
      5. B/C Ratio
      6. Payback Period
      7. Discounted Payback Period
      8. Profitability Index
      9. 8 more functions similar to the last 8 when cash flows are not necessarily periodic
      10. 10 more functions similar to the last 8 when cash flows are discounted at different discount rates
    1. Time Value of Money
      1. RATE
      2. NPER
      3. PMT
      4. PV
      5. FV
      6. PVIF
      7. PVIFA
      8. PVIFAD
      9. FVIF
      10. FVIFA
      11. FVIFAD
      12. CAF
      13. CRF
      14. PWF
      15. SFF
