Advanced Filter goes wrong when carried out by Macro - US/UK dates

I have a similar problem to this post -

I managed to work out that the advanced filter is using US Dates so I formatted the dates accordingly and works fine in 2007. However when I open in 2003 it decides to use UK dates. So not really sure why this is, thought I'd see if anybody had any ideas.

Its strange that when I manually carry out an advanced filter it uses UK dates - but when using VBA it wants to use US dates.

I've rambled a bit - if you want any more detail let me know. I can't upload spreadsheets unfortunately as at work.

vba-correctly-recognizes u.s. formatting as the way to go ;-)
if you don't want that-I assume you are talking about dates in the filter-I suggest you use date formulas or numeric date values rather than date strings
