Automatically have data copy from a sheet onto another sheet according to certain criteria

I have a spreadsheet that is used to track status (progress) of certain jobs. I would like to be able to update the original sheet and as the status' change per project the data (row) will still be present on the original sheet but will also automatically be copied over into another sheet. I dont know if I would have to have a seperate sheet for each status criteria to copy to or if I could have the data copy over to a single sheet that would then be automatically be sorted or filtered by that certain status? Is this possible?

    Thanks
    Misty

Hi misty, welcome to the forum

would it bpossible for you to upload a sample of what you are trying to achieve? ideally it should show what you have, what you want, and how you arrive at what yoy want. that will give us a much better understanding of your needs

Thank you so much for your quick response in trying to help me with this issue. Here is a copy of the spreadsheet. Trying to figure this out has completely wrecked me brain for the last day.

    Thanks again,
    Misty

i was playing around with filters on your file, and think that may be a very simple, yet dynamic, way of giving you what you want. have you tried to use filters yet?

1 thing i did notice was that you do not have all your "overall priority" and "project priority" numbers in, so filtering on that doesnt work too well. but when i filtered on status, it did

let me know if this will work for you, or if we need to look at another approach? (simple is often better)

I did play around with the filters, but was not able to come up with what I was trying to achieve. The master list is actually available to several depts to maintain, to which you leaves the information in there looking a jumbled mess. I need to have the information copy over to another sheet so that our mgr would be able to view it @ any & all hours of the day from his phone.

    Thanks
