Hi, first post on the forum.

I have a spreadsheet at work where I have course title along the upper x axis and employee name down the y axis with expiry dates of the qualifications on the cells.

I want to create an outlook task item which is 6 months before the expiry date and inserted into two people calendar as a reminder to chase the person to book or renew the qualification.

Is this possible?

If not my second option is to automatically change the cell colour depending on how close it is to the expiry of the qualification i.e if it's 180 days or more away its green, within 180 days is amber and within 30 days its red. Is that possible either?

I am an excel newbie running excel 2010 and outlook 2010.

Any help is much appreciated as I only just started at this place and want to make a good impression.
