Set variable to active cell's current Data validaion formula?

Hi guru's!

I am looking to pull an active cell's data validation formula and set it to a variable so that later in the code I can chose if I want to copy that cell or not.

I am not looking for the value of the active cell itself, but the formula that is determining its DV drop down list. Any suggestions? My google work has turned up bunk...Everyone wants to set DV to an active cell, but I want to go the other direction...
