    I need help!

    Hi,

    Im trying to create a formula for my spread sheet but it seems to me that microsoft have made it very difficult, or it may be my blonde coming through.

    I want to create a formula so when i imput a value in to a cell it changes colour for the whole row for example;

    If i imput yes into U2 to signify that the row is complete I want the whole row to change colour. this shouldnt be that hard.

    at the moment i have a now function and when i imput yes i am manually changing the date. Is there a way that if i imput a value into U2 it can freeze the date on the row.

    the second seems abit harder and maybe impossible on microsoft excel 2010.

    Please help me because i cant stand to stare at the sheet anymore.

    Thanks
    Helen

    Hi Helen & Welcome to the forum,

    We would love to help with your query, but first, please take a few minutes and look at the forum rules about thread titles and adjust accordingly...

    Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
    To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

    HTH
    Regards, Jeff
