replace image object with another image

    Hi all,

I'm not sure is this will be possible - but here goes:

Is it possible to replace an image object with another image (same size as original)?

I have a worksheet with around 200 copies of an image object (all with the same name). These images are displayed in various patterns.
Now rather than having to re-do the patterns - is there any way I can re-reference the image so that the pattern will up-date with another image of the same size?

Any help on this matter with be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Can you post a sample workbook for us to work with?

    Hi Ron,

Thanks for your reply. I have attached a sample workbook for you to have a look at.

    The workbook contains two sheets:
-the first sheet (ALL IMAGES) contains the image files I would like to replace with each other.
-the second sheet (EXAMPLE ELEVATION) contains an elevation with these images inserted in a pattern like form.

If you could have a look and see if there is any way of re-referencing the image used in sheets 2 to another image on sheet one without having to redo the sheet?

    I hope this makes sense!

    Thanks in advance.

note - I usually compile these type of elevations in Autocad, however I do not have access to Autocad at my current workplace and I would like to compile an easy worksheet for other 'non-autocad users' to use.

    Something like this:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
The macro will put the names of the images in column E, and puts a "count" of all the images that start with those 7 letters in the column D. The macro will not count the images on the ALL IMAGES sheet itself, only the images on all the other sheets with the name like the ones on ALL IMAGES.

Re: replace image object with another image

    Hi all,

The above post from JBeaucaire was meant for my other thread "counting specific image objects in a worksheet" which was solved with the above macro. I had posted a link for JBeaucaire to the attached file in this thread and the macro for the other post ended up here...Thanks once again to JBeaucaire for solving that thread.

However this thread remains unsolved and if anyone has any solutions it will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,
