Print to form using excel data sheet

Good afternoon,

I am new to this forum and wondering if you can help me with a solution. I am using a mac pro notebook with word. I am a teacher and looking to print a excel document by filling the "name" area using data from list of student names in excel column. Rather than waste time manually hand writing the students name into this one form. I am looking for something easier using the combination of excel and word or individual programs. Please advise on any recommendations. I have attached sample forms for your review. Thanks. LS

1. Get rid to the merged cells.
2. Put the names in a column outside of the print area
3. Use Data validation-List in the appropriate cell.

Awesome. You just helped me a bunch. Thanks. I was able to set validation data in "name" cell. I am able to view my students by name in the dropdown box in the "name" cell. My only issue would be...how do I print them...where they print all without having to select each student name individually from the dropbox and print. Is this possible? Thanks

That needs a macro that would just loop through the names on the list, copy it the the name cell and print the blank form. But you need to post a sample workbook with the names.

Thanks again. I apologize for the delay in reply. I have attached a sample form with the suggested recommendations. I am also in the process of adding check boxes to this form. Please advise on any recommendations. I appreciate your help. Thanks again.
