I currently looking for search function for multiple sheet but different column.
Search string
Excel file description
This excel file is of inventory system
It contain worksheet
1. Master Record – contain all stock record from the 1st day each years
2. Transaction In – record all item movement for stock in
3. Transaction Out record all item movement for stock out
4. Search – This is for search for all above record ( no 1-3)
5. Summary – Just summary data for no 1-3
6. Monthly report – report monthly based
7. Product – For item record (for data validation used)
8. Script – this is just for my reference
Search process
User will go to search sheet for search item
User can enter any string whatever have in sheet no 1-3 include date or cost. Then the result will list down according to sheet it found the result. The search string is match case. Example, if record got “Fish”, when user enter “fis”, It will show result
For master record it will follow the master record column and for both transaction in and out will follow the transaction column
For the result row, it can be increase as total record for each worksheet increase.

I don’t know if this search can be done using index/match or need to use macro?
