Macro for the countif formula

Hi All,

Could someone record a macro for the below formula :

=COUNTIF('Sheet1'!$A$1:$A$100,"*"&$D2&"*"&E$1&"*")

You can record it with the macro recorder.

Then you will get the VBA code.

I can run the formula successfully on the cells.......

but when recording a macro it throws me an error ... near exclamatory mark.
