Hi All,

i am hoping you would be able to assit me in doing something. I am trying to create a workbook that can be used as a delivery docket for orders. One of the requirements of this is obviously an incrementing number. What i would like to be able to do is to have everytime the file is saved or printed?, the sheet is to record that number and then when the file is opened again it increments the number by 1. I'm not really too sure on how this would work so any ideas would be helpful.

What i would also like to be able to do is create a macro that saves a copy of the document to a file location with a specific document name E.G. Copy of connote STE001 - STE001 being the connote number - saved to for example G:\operations\connotecopies (example file location, the actual location is a server location)

At the moment we use a excel template and update the number manually each time.

Information that may be useful:

The file is stored on a server location
The file is used by multiple people on the server
The file needs to save a copy of the delivery docket into a location on a server
The number must only increase by 1
The number is alpha numeric E.G. STE001 (where the letters are static)

Thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated. If you have any better ideas for what i would like to achieve please let me know. Thank you very much
