Hello,

I am working on a spreadsheet that I will need to protect and lock few cells so users cannot make changes to the formatting or the formulas in some of the cells.
I would want them to insert rows when needed and type in data except in the cells that have formulas in them.

The issue that I am running into is that, when the user inserts a row and try to copy the formula from the above cells it gives an error message that "The cells is protected and it is read only. Cannot copy".

Is there a way in excel to insert a row in a protected sheet and also copy formulas from above.
