    Conditional format within several ranges.

    Hi there

I am quite a newbie with macros but I think this is not going to be easy to you.

I have and excel file with two sheet in it.
In the first sheet there is a cell that contains a date.
The second sheet is where all the churn is. Please see image attached.image.JPG

If the month where each cell of all 3 ranges is equal or greater than the date referred in the first sheet then I want:
    a) to be filled in with a particular color.
    b) to be unlocked.

What do you reckon? Is it doable?
    Any answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    M.

I think it can be done.
If possible upload a workbook with a sample Data of the same type.

    Regards

    Hi

To fill the cells with color, you can use Conditional Formatting. You do not need a Macro..

I don't understand what you mean saying "To Unlocked them...."

Yes, I know that can be done that by simply using Conditional Formatting. Actually I did that.
However, lock / unlock cells automatically can only be done by macros and macros cannot pick cells filled through conditional formatting. Filling and unlocking will have to be assembled together through macros.
I said "unlock them" because before me sending out the file I will have to protect the whole worksheet and only allow certain cells to be filled in.
    Thanks,
